BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech women's basketball has kept the streak rolling, pushing it to 13 with a 78-60 victory over Point Park University Saturday. The Golden Bears are now 20-8, 15-1 (RSC) while the Pioneers move to 12-14, 8-7 (RSC).
Junior
Laura Requena has now recorded nine consecutive double-doubles after finishing with 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Gold and Blue and the game.
Senior
Savannah Shamblin finished with 17 points, four assists, a steal and two rebounds.
Sophomore
Brittney Justice marked 11 points, seven rebounds and an assist.
Fellow sophomore
Whittney Justice came off the bench to contribute with ten points, four rebounds and two assists.
Senior
Alexandra Combs gave a game-best five assists to go with six rebounds, four points, two steals and a block.
Junior
Logan Dudley finished with nine points, five rebounds and three assists.
Tech finished 30-for-71 (42.3 percent) from the field while holding the Pioneers to just 25-for-68 (36.8 percent) shooting. The Golden Bears also held the advantage in rebounds, 47-39.
WVU Tech will take a break from conference play to host Bluefield State College Wednesday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m.
