PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The WVU Tech men's soccer team remains undefeated (3-0) in 2019 after blanking Shawnee State University (3-3) Wednesday evening, 3-0.
The Golden Bears had three goal scorers including sophomore
Aloysius Laurie (12'), senior
Alvaro Tina (32') and freshman
Luis Alejandro Jaimes (84').
Laurie and Tina marked their second career goals while Jaimes posted his collegiate first.
Tina was also credited with the assist to Laurie while he got the assist from fellow senior
Sergio Sanchez.
Senior
Jorge Martinez (3-0) protected the net for the Gold and Blue, making five stops while allowing zero goals in 90 minutes.
Shawnee's keeper, Kade Tomlinson, allowed three goals and stopped two Golden Bear attempts.
The Golden Bears return to action Saturday, September 14 when they travel to University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
