BECKLEY, West Virginia -- In front of a Homecoming crowd, (RV) WVU Tech men's soccer blanked Midway University 10-0 in River States Conference (RSC) play Saturday. The Golden Bears boast a record of 7-0-1, 2-0 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 0-9, 0-2 (RSC).
Tech had eight goal scorers including two each from seniors
Jesus Naves (3' and 26') and
Carlos Tormo (70' and 79').
Seniors
Sergio Sanchez (5') and
Santiago Cruz (43'), freshmen
Oleg Tarshin (46'),
Michael Barton (25') and
Luis Alejandro Jaimes (46') and sophomore
Wishy Laurie (83') posted one each.

Senior
Jorge Martinez earned the W protecting the net after 45 minutes of play and two saves. Freshman
Luke Nilsson made his collegiate debut, stepping in as goalkeeper for the final 45 minutes.
Tech will stay at home, hosting University of Maine at Fort Kent on Wednesday, October 2 in Beckley.
