BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's basketball earned an 84-79 River States Conference (RSC) victory over University of Rio Grande Thursday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 11-6, 6-1 (RSC) while the RedStorm move to 9-12, 2-5 (RSC).
Junior Arrey, a junior from Backlick, Ohio, had a standout evening by pouring in a career-high 35 points to lead all scorers. Arrey also surpassed 1,000 career points as a Golden Bear. He finished with six rebounds, five assists and four steals while not turning over the ball once.

Darrin Martin came off the bench to hit double-digits, pouring in 18 and 17 points respectively to go with four rebounds each.
As a team, the Gold and Blue finished 52.5 percent (32-for-61) from the field while Rio shot 50.0 percent (26-for-52). The RedStorm won the battle under the boards, 39-29.
WVU Tech will take a break from conference play when they host Bluefield State College Saturday at 3 p.m.
