PIPPAS PASSES, Kentucky -- In overtime, WVU Tech picked up an 88-85 River States Conference (RSC) victory at Alice Lloyd College Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 12-7, 7-1 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 9-11, 3-4 (RSC).
Tech's scorers were led by
Junior Arrey who posted 23 points while grabbing ten rebounds. The Backlick, Ohio native just missed a triple-double with eight assists to go with four steals.
Senior
Dominik King finished with four three-pointers towards 20 points. King also recorded three rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Freshman
Darrin Martin came off the bench to mark 13 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Junior
Andreas Jönsson finished with four from beyond the arc for 12 points while adding five rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal.
Junior
Juvante' Hayes had eight points and freshman
Andrew Work had seven points and seven rebounds.
Tech was held to 33.8 percent (25-for-74) shooting from the field while the Eagles shot 35.6 percent (31-for-87). The teams were even under the boards with 55 rebounds each.
The Gold and Blue will next host Midway University at the Summersville Arena Thursday, January 21.
