PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- WVU Tech volleyball now holds an overall record of 5-4 after defeating River States Conference (RSC) opponent Point Park University Friday evening. The Golden Bears hold the same RSC record, 5-4, and the Pioneers move to 3-6, 3-6 (RSC).
Senior
Lucie Strasser dished out 25 assists while picking up 13 digs. The Melk, Australia native also had two block solos, a service ace and a kill.
Fellow classmate
Sawyer Hawgood led the back row defense with 18 digs while marking three assists.
Junior
Ariana Gentzler was strong at the net, putting down three block solos and three blocks assists to go with seven kills.
Senior
Michaela Hall produced two block solos, two block assists and seven kills.
Senior
Katelyn Byrd led the attack for the Gold and Blue with 13 kills. Byrd also recorded ten digs and a block assist.
Junior
Coralys Maldonado Rivera was solid with six kills, three digs and a block assist.
Tech will return to the court November 6 when they host Ohio Christian University in more conference action.
