Golden Bear Athletes of the Week | November 12-22

Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for November 12-22, 2020 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomores Luis Alejandro Jaimes (men's soccer) and Darrin Martin (men's basketball) headline this week's honors.

Jaimes posted two goals over two games the week of November 12-22 including the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over University of the Cumberlands. The Floridablanca, Santander, Colombia native currently leads the team with seven goals in 2020, marking at least one in the team's last four contests. He is also ranked No. 4 in the nation (NAIA) with four game-winning goals and No. 8 for 0.5 game-winning goals per match.

Martin, who hails from Bluefield, West Virginia, led the team in scoring during all three games the week of November 12-22. He totaled 68 points including a season-high 26 points against Bryant & Stratton Buffalo. Martin also produced 18 assists and 17 rebounds. In the nation (NAIA), the guard is currently ranked No. 16 in assists per game with 5.667.
