RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's basketball is enjoying a three-game River States Conference winning streak after moving past University of Rio Grande 76-43 Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now boast a record of 5-2, 3-0 (RSC) while the RedStorm moves to 3-4, 2-1 (RSC).
Tamon Scruggs led all scorers with 24 points to go with four rebounds and a steal.
Andrew Work finished with 12 points and four rebounds while
Gunner Short also hit double-digits with ten points to go with four boards.
Juvante' Hayes recorded eight points, six rebounds and five assists.
Thomas Hailey posted eight rebounds, seven points and three blocks for the Gold and Blue.
Tech held Rio Grande to just a 28.1 shooting percentage from the field while forcing 15 turnovers.
Up next the team will travel to Kingsport, Tennessee for the NAIA Showcase Saturday and Sunday to face Southeastern University and Central Baptist College.
