KINGSPORT, Tennessee -- WVU Tech men's basketball is now enjoying a five-game winning streak after going 2-0 Saturday and Sunday during NAIA The Show in Kingsport. The Golden Bears now boast a record of 8-2 after defeating (RV) Southeastern University 76-75 before taking down Central Baptist College 80-60.
Andrew Work had a standout tournament, garnering a total of 39 points including a 12-for-18 effort from the bonus line. Work also posted 14 rebounds and five assists.
Tamon Scruggs finished with 31 points to go with 13 rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Gunner Short poured in 29 points and had four assists for the Gold and Blue.
Keondre' King recorded 20 points while Andreas Jönsson (12),
Thomas Hailey (12) and
Juvante' Hayes (10) also hit double-digits over two games. Hailey also had nine rebounds and four blocks.
The Golden Bears return to conference play and Beckley, West Virginia when they host Ohio Valley University Tuesday, November 30.
