PIKEVILLE, Kentucky -- WVU Tech volleyball earned its first victory in 2021 with a 3-1 showing at University of Pikeville Saturday. The Golden Bears won with scores of 25-20, 10-25, 25-20 and 25-22.

Savanna McMillion and
Emma Leach dished out 15 assists each.
On defense,
Valentina Abondano posted 16 digs while
Ana Muñiz Rocandio picked up 13. Albondano also had two service aces while Rocandio finished with ten kills and two service aces.
Coralys Maldonado Rivera led the attack with with 11 kills to go with one block assist and two digs.
Brooklyn Cook put down seven kills in the win.
The Gold and Blue will return to the court Tuesday, August 31 when they travel to Bluefield College.
