SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Indiana -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball halted a two-game skid after defeating Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in River States Conference (RSC) play 78-49 Saturday. The Golden Bears boast a record of 18-4, 9-2 (RSC) while the Pomeroys move to 2-19, 0-11 (RSC).
Thomas Hailey led the team on offense with 15 points while
Andrew Work and
Gunner Short produced 13 points each. Hailey also had six rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Work and Short both had four rebounds for the Gold and Blue.
Saliou Diop pulled down a career- and game-high 11 boards to go with six points.
Ashton Parker had ten rebounds and six points.
The team shot 51.8 percent (29-for-56) from the floor and held their opponent to a 34.7 percent (17-for-49) shooting effort from the field.
The Golden Bears will return home for the next match-up when they host University of Rio Grande Thursday (February 3).
