WILLIAMSBURG, Kentucky --Â (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball dropped a 94-54 decision to host school No. 20 University of the Cumberlands on the final day of the Cumberlands Classic. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-2 while the Patriots stay undefeated at 5-0.

Brant Smithers came off the bench to lead Tech with 11 points to go with a steal and an assist.
Also hitting double-digits, junior
Andrew Work was a perfect 4-for-4 from the bonus line towards ten points. Work also produced six rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Keondre' King recorded nine and eight points respectively to round out the Gold and Blue's top scorers.
Tech was held to 36.2 percent (21-for-58) shooting from the floor. The Patriots also held the edge under the boards with 33 rebounds compared to the Golden Bears' 21.
Up next WVU Tech will have a two-game home stand, hosting Carlow University Thursday, November 17 before facing Point Park University November 19. The games will tip off the River States Conference season for the Golden Bears and will be held at Appalachian Bible College.
