RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's basketball fell at University of Rio Grande 80-65 in River States Conference (RSC) action Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-6, 2-2 (RSC) while the RedStorm move to 7-3, 3-0 (RSC).
Tech finished 24-for-59 (40.7 percent) from the floor while grabbing 26 rebounds and forcing 15 Rio turnovers. The RedStorm shot 32-for-52 (61.5 percent), pulled down 31 boards and forced ten Golden Bear turnovers.
Junior
Andrew Work was a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line and finished 9-for-16 towards a game-high 24 points. Work also posted seven rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Redshirt sophomore
Bryce Radford also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue, recording ten points to go with a rebound.
Junior
Ashton Parker and freshman
Will Hill had eight points and seven points respectively while both pulled down four boards each.
The Golden Bears will return to action Wednesday, December 7 when they travel to Washington Adventist University for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
