WEST PALM BEACH, Florida -- WVU Tech volleyball fell to host school Keiser University 0-3 (13-25, 20-25, 16-25) before battling to a 3-2 victory over Morningside College (8-25, 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 15-9). The two matches Saturday concludes the Golden Bears run at the Chick-Fil-A Classic held over two days.
Ally Morris totaled 32 assists while
Julia McClanahan put out 21 assists for the Golden Bears over two matches. Morris also picked up 19 digs while McClanahan finished with seven kills.
Ana Muniz Rocandio posted 18 kills,
Brooklyn Cook had 14,
Nevaeh Wooding had 13 and
Coralys Maldonado Rivera recorded 11 kills to round out the top attackers. Maldonado Rivera put down six blocks while Cook finished with five.
Brooke Presley marked 34 digs to go with eight assists and two service aces while
Valentina Abondano ended with 12 digs, four kills and two assists.
Emma Leach had eight digs and a team-best three service aces for the Gold and Blue.
The Golden Bears will return to action September 2 when they travel to University of Rio Grande for the Emileigh Cooper Memorial Classic.
