RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's soccer earned a 2-1 victory over Baker University during the Rio Grande Classic Thursday. The Golden Bears are now 1-0-1 in 2022 while the Wildcats move to 1-1.
Endjick Albert, a senior who hails from Haiti, posted his first goal of the game during the 33rd minute off an assist from freshman
Emanuele Bossi. Tech's final goal also came from Albert off a penalty kick he made good at the beginning of the second half in minute 46.
Baker's score came from Falco Dijkhuis (69'). The Wildcats' keeper, Landon Turner, made two stops in 90 minutes of play.
In goal for the Gold and Blue,
Lucas Rivera Paramio recorded four saves in the complete game.
WVU Tech will finish out the Rio Grande Classic Saturday when they face Saint Xavier University.
