BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech earned a 1-0 shutout over Shaw University in non-conference action Saturday. The Golden Bears are now 4-1-1 this season while the NCAA DII Shaw Bears move to 2-4.

The lone goal of the contest came from freshman Enrique Ezquerro Lopez. The Pradejon, La Rioja, Spain native found the back of the net at minute 43 after the perfect pass from fellow classmate Emanuele Bossi.

Junior Lucas Rivera Paramio protected the net for 90 minutes for the Gold and Blue, making six stops and allowing zero goals in the clean sheet.

Shaw's keeper, Pablo Bas Colomer, was forced to stop two Golden Bear attempts while allowing one goal in the complete game.

The Golden Bears will hit the road again for their next contest, traveling to Columbia International University Tuesday, September 20.
