ATHENS, West Virginia -- WVU Tech traveled to NCAA DII Concord University for a non-conference match, falling 3-0 with scores of 25-14, 25-27 and 25-20. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 3-8 while the Mountain Lions move to 5-8.
Junior
Julia McClanahan led the match with 20 assists while picking up three digs.
On the attack, senior
Coralys Maldonado Rivera put down seven kills and sophomore
Madison Boswell recorded six.
Senior
Brooklyn Cook and freshman
Emily Stack finished with five and three kills respectively.
The match's back row defense was led by sophomore
Brooke Presley who had 13 digs while junior
Emma Leach picked up seven.
WVU Tech will hit the road again for the Bobcat Classic at West Virginia Wesleyan College to play the host school, Alderson Broaddus University, Glenville State College and West Virginia State University, all NCAA DII schools, this Friday and Saturday.
