COLUMBIA, South Carolina -- (RV) WVU Tech men's soccer traveled to Columbia International University Tuesday for a non-conference match-up, ending even at 1-1 after 90 minutes. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 5-1-2 while the Rams move to 3-1-2.
Both the contests goals were recorded in the first half including Tech's from senior
Endjick Albert who posted his score, unassisted, in minute 17.
Columbia International scored the equalizer in minute 18 from Daniel Ospina.
Junior
Lucas Rivera Paramio had four saves in 90 minutes of action while the Rams' keeper, Vitor Maciel, made five stops.
Total shots on goal was close to even as well with Tech grabbing the slight edge, 6-5.
The Gold and Blue will begin River States Conference action Saturday when they host Ohio Christian University (0-5) at 5 p.m.
