CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's basketball played to its second consecutive River States Conference (RSC) win at Ohio Christian University Saturday. After a score of 72-58 Saturday, the Golden Bears boost their record to 6-2, 2-1 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 3-8, 0-2 (RSC).
Tech held Ohio Christian to 39.0 percent (23-for-59) shooting from the field and a 30.0 percent (9-for-30) effort from three-point range. The Golden Bears also forced 13 turnovers and grabbed nine steals while holding the edge in rebounds, 32-26.
Senior
Andrew Work (Oak Hill, W.Va.) produced game-highs with 24 points and ten rebounds towards a double-double.
Freshman
Braden Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) added 13 points and four steals while sophomore
Brant Smithers (Williamstown, Ky.) finished with 12 points and two boards.
Senior
Ashton Parker (Rock Hill, S.C.) recorded eight points and eight rebounds for the Gold and Blue.
The Golden Bears will step out of conference play next when they travel to Bluefield University Saturday, December 16.
