BUCKHANNON, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's and men's track and field began the outdoor season Friday, March 10 in the Brandi Bowen and Jasmine Claggett Memorial Invite. Both Golden Bear squads finished fourth overall.
Ivan Martinez helped lead the men with a third place showing in the 400m dash (56.72) and a sixth place finish in the 800m run (2:37.43).
Samuel Whitcomb competed in the 800m run (2:42.26) and 1500m run (5:21.32), finishing seventh and ninth respectively.
Timothy Reynolds was in the field for the Gold and Blue, posting an 8.76m in the shot put and 18.04m in the hammer throw.
Carmen Camino Falcon recorded a 78.81 in the 400m hurdles for the women, finishing sixth overall.
The Golden Bears will next compete in the 49er Classic hosted by UNC Charlotte March 16-18.
