RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech softball fell 3-7 before earning a 7-2 River States Conference (RSC) victory at University of Rio Grande Tuesday. The Golden Bears move to 20-24, 10-16 (RSC) while the RedStorm hold a record of 30-16, 18-8 (RSC).
Courtney Miles posted the W in the circle in game two, throwing for the complete game towards six strikeouts while walking zero and giving up two earned runs. Miles also pitched for 2.0 innings in game one, striking out two. She finished with three RBI off of two hits over two games at the plate.
Scarlet Janney rocked a homer and finished with a total of three hits towards four RBI.
Nicole Kester finished with four hits including two doubles.
Maggie Richards tallied three hits and two RBI.
Tech is scheduled to return to the field for two more on Friday at Linda K. Epling Stadium when they host Carlow University.
