BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech softball picked up two River States Conference (RSC) victories versus Carlow University, 10-2 (6 Innings) and 7-1, Friday at Linda K. Epling Stadium. The Golden Bears have clinched a spot in the RSC Championship and hold a record of 22-24, 12-16 (RSC) while the Celtics move to 15-31, 9-19 (RSC).
Emma Crisswell earned the W in the circle in game one, striking out six while giving up zero runs in 3.1 innings of work.Â
Courtney Miles got the complete-game victory in the final contest, retiring three via strikes while giving up just one earned run.
At the plate
Maggie Richards led the way for the Gold and Blue, finishing with seven RBI and five hits including two doubles in the series.
Hailea Skeens also knocked five hits towards four runs scored and a RBI.
Brianna Stevenson had three doubles while
Nicole Kester and
Macy Wilkens had one double and two RBI each.
The Golden Bears will host Alice Lloyd tomorrow, Saturday in Beckley for two games to conclude the regular season.
