BECKLEY, W.Va. -- WVU Tech men's basketball dropped a 79-68 decision to River States Conference (RSC) opponent Shawnee State University Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 17-8, 9-6 (RSC) while the Bears move to 18-8, 12-4 (RSC).Â
Senior
Ashton Parker (Rock Hill, S.C.) secured a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Parker also finished with a steal, a block and an assist.
Freshman
Braden Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) and sophomore
Brant Smithers (Williamstown, Ky.) made three three's towards 18 and 15 points respectively. The two also had four rebounds each while B. Chapman added two assists, two steals and a block.
Sophomore
Thomas Hailey (Monroe, N.C.) recorded eight points and two rebounds while freshman
Cole Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) had seven rebounds, six points and three assists.
The team will finish out the regular season at Point Park University Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
