KOKOMO, Ind. — WVU Tech women's soccer dropped a tight 1–0 decision Saturday afternoon at Indiana University Kokomo in River States Conference action.
IU Kokomo's Alexis Isom broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, finishing off a first-half chance that held up as the game-winner.
The Golden Bears battled throughout, creating several second-half opportunities but couldn't find an equalizer. Senior goalkeeper Sandra Garcia Quílez recorded two saves, while the Tech defense held the Cougars scoreless over the final 48 minutes of play.
WVU Tech finished with a narrow 6–4 edge in shots and 8–5 advantage in corner kicks, but IU Kokomo keeper Hailey Hanauer turned away three attempts to preserve the shutout.
