WVU Tech indoor track & field competes at VMI Winter Classic

Women's and Men's Track & Field

LEXINGTON, Va. -- WVU Tech indoor track & field recorded two new program records while competing at the VMI Winter Classic Saturday.

LOCATION
Peterson Field House | Alliance, Ohio

NOTES:

McKayla Bartley earned the new program record, surpassing her own, in the shot put at 8.10 meters.
Frazer Glen also surpassed his own program record after crossing at 2:08.25 in the 800 meters.
Alec Howard now has a new PR in the 60 meters, recording a time of 7.75.
Evan McElwayne produced a major PR in the 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) with a time of 16:35.94 (10th place).
Owen Keeney was third in the high jump after a mark of 1.89 meters.
The men's 4x400 relay team of Glen, Chucky Jordan, Samuel Pyle and Samuel Whitcomb crossed third at 3:51.02.
The women's team saw action from Sophie Quinlan (60m, 200m, 400m), Martina Latapi Gomez (60m, 200m, 400m), Kelsey Huffman (200m, 400m), Angelica Taylor (400m), Lexie Wikel (800m), Peyton Asbury (800m) and Bartley (shot put, weight throw).

NEXT UP
The Golden Bears will compete in the River States Conference Championship February 14-15 in Marietta, Ohio.
