Track & field garners podium showings and a school record

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- WVU Tech track & field competed at the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by University of Charleston Friday.

Laidley Field | Charleston, W.Va.

NOTES:

McKayla Bartley now holds the program record in the hammer throw with a 33.06m mark.
Corbyn Cunningham finished first in the pole vault with a 3.35m effort.
Owen Keeney was second in the high jump at 1.80m.
Peyton Asbury crossed at 18:26.67 in the 3,000m steeple chase for second place.
The women's 4x100m relay team of Martina Latapi Gomez, Sophie Quinlan, Lexie Wikel and Kelsey Huffman finished third at 59.42.

NEXT UP
The Golden Bears will travel to Asheville, N.C. for the Asheville Bulldog Invitational scheduled for April 11-12.
