BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech men's and women's track and field heads to Marietta, Ohio, this weekend for the 2026 River States Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the conference meet site.
The championship meet features two days of competition with team scoring awarded to the top eight finishers in each event. The conference scoring system awards 10 points for first, followed by 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. The top three individuals in each event earn All-Conference recognition, and event winners are crowned conference champions.
WVU Tech will travel a combined roster of 31 student-athletes.
Men's travel roster: Cade Curfman, Caden Luyett, Evan McElwayne, Ethan Cavender, Christian Saffouri, Samuel Whitcomb, Jan Fasius Ponsa, Eli Jordan, Chucky Jordan, Travis Anderson, Matthew Rhodes, Brady Smith, Jonathan Cantley, Colton Henderson, Owen Cameron, Iain Furman, Isaac Agee, John Ashton, Crutcher Hutchison, Ralph Aaron Etaba Ateba, Tommy Wikel, Nikolas Rodriguez, Carlos Enrique Parra Soto and Alec Howard.
Women's travel roster: Peyton Asbury, Lexie Wikel, Abigail Holley, Rebecca H. Lorincz, Jadyn Farmer, Hailey Ervin and Nevaeh Wooding.
The meet opens Friday with field events beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a full slate of track events starting at 3 p.m. Saturday competition begins with field events at 9 a.m. and track finals starting at 10 a.m., closing with the 4x400-meter relays in the afternoon.
Live results will be available throughout the weekend.
Spectator information: Admission is $5 per person per day, cash only. Doors open at 2 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
