BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech Athletics has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Sept. 21-27, recognizing senior Addison White of volleyball and sophomore Gonzalo Sabeh of soccer for standout performances during the week.
Addison White (Harrisonburg, Va.) | Volleyball
White directed WVU Tech's offense across two River States Conference matches, totaling 58 assists in eight sets for an average of 7.25 assists per set. She also recorded 21 digs, six kills and two service aces.
The senior finished with 31 assists and 12 digs against Midway for a double-double before adding 27 assists, nine digs, five kills and two aces against Indiana East.
White is a senior majoring in psychology.
Gonzalo Sabeh (Yerba Buena, Tucuman, Argentina) | Soccer
Sabeh recorded a hat trick and added an assist for seven points in WVU Tech's 7-1 road victory over Carolina University.
The sophomore scored three goals on six shots, placing four attempts on goal, and assisted on another Golden Bear goal. Sabeh factored into four of Tech's seven goals in the victory.
Sabeh is a sophomore majoring in business management.
