WVU Tech Athletics

Liam Higginson enters his first year on the WVU Tech Athletic Training staff, currently serving as a certified athletic trainer. Higginson's responsibilities include all 15 of Tech's varsity sports.

Prior to working at Tech, the Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada native interned as a certified athletic trainer with the University of North Dakota's football team (2011-12). As a graduate assistant (2012-13) at North Dakota, Higginson worked with women's soccer and softball. From 2013-15, Liam was an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Minnesota Crookston where he worked with women's volleyball, softball and men's basketball. Higginson finished his time at Minnesota Crookston as the head athletic trainer and worked football and men's basketball.

Higginson received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a major in athletic therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2011 before graduating from the University of North Dakota with a master's of science with a major in Kinesiology in 2013.

Higginson currently resides in Huntington, West Virginia.
