Freshman Shannon Wiercioch has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for February 4-11.

Swimming competed at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, W. Va. on February 1. In the 200 IM, Shannon took first place and earned nine points for Tech with a time of 2:49.20.

Wiercioch swam in the 200 freestyle where she placed second with a time of 2:25.47 The freshman also ended in second by finishing the 100 freestyle in 1:07.06.
