Junior pitcher Craig Johnson has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for April 2-9.

Johnson pitched a complete game (7.0 innings) and gave up just one run on six hits while striking out five batters and walking two in the 4-2 win over Davis & Elkins College Tuesday, April 1.

The victory improved Johnson's record to 2-3 on the season.

The Chapmanville, W. Va. native studies forensic investigation at WVU Tech.
