Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 1-6, 2022 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Keondre' King (men's basketball) and senior Jacey Bertalan (softball) highlight this week's honors.

King, who hails from Wheeling, West Virginia, helped lead Tech to two wins on the week with 24 points including eight made from beyond the arc. The sophomore also produced ten rebounds, three assists and two steals.

A native of Highland, Indiana, Bertalan helped the Golden Bears open the season with two wins, posting five hits towards a team-high batting average of .714. She also recorded four runs scored, a RBI, a stolen base and a perfect fielding percentage.
