Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Nov. 13-19, 2023 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Junior Ryan Turney (wrestling) and freshman Stretch Elijah Ray Northrop (esports) highlight the week's honors.

Turney (Churchville, Md.) went 3-2 during the King Open in Bristol, Tenn., finishing fourth at 174 lbs. Turney scored two falls (0:29, 2:57) and a decision (10-4) in his W's.

Operator Stretch (Daniels, W.Va.) was Tech's top player in all three games of Rainbow Six Siege to help lift the No. 7-seed Golden Bears past No. 3 Buena Vista University in a quarterfinal of the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), Navigators B Division.
