Freshman Carolina Bologna has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for September 8-14, 2016.

Bologna combined for 15 kills in WVU Tech's wins against the University of Cincinnati Clermont and Wright State Lake.

The Vasto, Italy native also marked five blocks for the Golden Bears while digging four balls.

The daughter of Luciano Bologna is majoring in business management.
