Sophomore Braden Keown has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for February 17-23, 2017.

Keown kicked off the golf spring season with a tournament-best 73 (+1) at the Shawnee State Early Bird Shootout on Monday.

In a tournament with 23 golfers and on a par 72 at the Elks Country Club, Keown led the team to a first place finish with a team score of 314.
