Senior Ryan Kessinger has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for April 10 through April 16.

This past week, Kessinger led the Golden Bears to a 2-3 record improving the team record to 20-18 overall and 11-4 in USCAA play. During this five game stretch against Shawnee State University and University of Rio Grande, Kessinger went 7-for-15 (.467) with two doubles and a triple while recording five RBIs. The 5’9” left fielder is batting .336 on the season with a slugging percentage of .402. Kessinger has hit four doubles and two triples while driving in 27 runs and stealing eight bases on the season. Defensively, Kessinger has racked up 37 putouts and five assists. He has started all 38 games for the Golden Bears this season.

Kessinger is an athletic coaching education major from Covington, Virginia.
