Freshman Megan Blythe has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for April 24 through April 30.

The 5-foot-7 outfielder led the Golden Bears this past week to a 1-1 record improving to 18-14 on the season. Blythe went 3-for-5 at the plate with a homerun while scoring two runs. Currently, she has an 11 game hitting streak in the works while the squad looks to finish out the season with consecutive 20 win seasons.

Blythe is a psychology major from Suffolk, Virginia.
