MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech men's basketball opens their season Saturday for a home match-up vs. Davis & Elkins College while wrestling's season debut will be at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Duals hosted by Penn State Mont Alto the same day. The weekend also features a volleyball match in Baisi against Emory & Henry College and women's basketball will travel to Point Park University for their first road game.

SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 1 Wrestling at USCAA Duals - 9:00 a.m. The Golden Bears will begin their 2014-15 campaign at Penn State Mont Alto for the USCAA Duals in Mont Alto, Pennsylvania, where the team will have five dual meets on that first day.
Tech finished last season 10-4 and with a trip to nationals for one wrestler. The squad finished in third place in their first attempt at winning the USCAA National Wrestling Invitational in 2013-14, led by a quartet of champions, with junior
Dirk Ponchak and sophomores
Tola Morakinyo,
Wyatt Norfolk and
Colton Rowe returning this season.
Volleyball vs. Emory & Henry - 2:00 p.m. The team snapped a nine-game losing streak and swept West Virginia University at Parkersburg (25-9, 25-12, 25-15) in Tuesday night action at the Baisi Athletic Center. The win moves Tech's record to 7-25.

Men's Basketball vs. Davis & Elkins College - 4:00 p.m. The WVU Tech men's basketball team will kick off its 2014-15 season Saturday against Davis & Elkins in the Baisi Athletic Center for their home opener. Now in his 13
th season as the head coach,
Bob Williams will guide a team that returns six players from last year's 19-13 squad as well as nine newcomers.
Tech will rely heavily on seniors

The price of admission for WVU Tech Basketball games are $5 per adult and $3 for students and seniors. WVU Tech students, faculty and staff will be granted free admission with a valid ID.
Women's Basketball at Point Park University - 6:00 p.m. Women's basketball (0-1) will look to bounce back from its defeat against the University of Pikeville Thursday evening, 91-85, with a victory over Point Park University 6:00 p.m. Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In the loss, senior
Nia Nolan led the Golden Bears and the game, producing 26 points. The senior also dished seven assists and grabbed three rebounds. Freshman
Rocio Ruiz-Berdejo followed with 10 points. Leading on the boards, senior
Roche Wimberly produced nine rebounds. Junior
Cheyanna Lusk forced six turnovers to mark the steals.
MONDAY - NOVEMBER 3
Volleyball vs. Salem International University - 7:00 p.m.The Golden Bears will celebrate their senior, Pauley, in their last home game of the season. The celebration will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Baisi Athletic Center in Montgomery, West Virginia.
Pauley leads the team with kills this season, 245, to take her career-total to 898. The Milton, West Virginia native has also produced 379 digs on defense, second only to junior
Chelsea Dean (506).
