MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - This weekend WVU Tech will celebrate Homecoming in Montgomery, West Virginia. Golden Bear athletic events to be featured include wrestling on Friday and Saturday and men's and women's basketball games Saturday. Men's and women's swimming will travel to Frostburg State Unviersity to continue their season.

FRIDAY - NOVEMBER 14 Wrestling vs. Southern Virginia University - 5:00 p.m. Tech will host Southern Viginia University in the Baisi Athletic Center to kickoff the athletic events for Homecoming weekend at WVU Tech. The Golden Bears are coming off a strong showing at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Duals in Mont Alto, Pennsylvania.
The Gold and Blue finished 4-1 vs. Penn State Fayette, Penn State Greater Alleghany, Newport News Apprentice School, the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State Mont Alto with the Apprentice School dishing the only Golden Bear loss this season.
SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 15
Wrestling vs. Penn State Du Bois - 12:00 p.m.WVU Tech Director of Athletics Kenny Howell has announced the appointment of
Dustin Stough as interim head wrestling coach. Stough comes to Tech from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where he was a student-assistant coach since October 2013.
As a Colonel, Stough wrestled at 174 for his final three seasons, finishing his senior year 16-14. In his junior year, Stough finished 28-13 and with a third place finish during the Metropolitan Conference Championships.
Swimming at Frostburg State University - 1:00 p.m. The Golden Bear men's and women's swim teams travelled to face conference opponent Mars Hill College in their last meet, in a match-up that faced the preseason seventh ranked Tech men's team vs. the second ranked team of Mars Hill and the 13
th ranked Tech women vs. the seventh place Mars Hill women.
Final scores of the meet were Golden Bear men 119 – Mars Hill 89 and Mars Hill women 115 – Tech women 55. The men's squad is currently undefeated in the 2014-15 season.
Women's Basketball vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg - 2:00 p.m. WVU Tech is 2-3 after a tough battle and victory over the University of Northwestern (Ohio) Tuesday evening, 86-82. Senior
Nia Nolan led the team with 27 points in 37 minutes of play. Junior
Cheyanna Lusk recorded a double-double with 22 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
Lusk's efforts on the boards marked a new career-high for the Cyclone, West Virginia native. The junior also managed three steals and is currently ranked ninth in total steals (NAIA DI).
Men's Basketball vs. Ohio State University (Newark) - 4:00 p.m. The Golden Bears are undefeated, 4-0, in 2014 and are coming off a victory vs. Ohio State University-Chillicothe, 84-65 last Saturday during the Saunders Insurance Tipoff Classic in Rio Grande, Ohio.
Junior Eddie Gordon and senior Jauries Thomas led Tech with 23 points each. Thomas also added a game-high 12 rebounds. Senior Leon Cooper, Jr. added 13 points and four assists, while Jaren Marino contributed 12 points and five rebounds in the win.Â
