?MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - The winter season for WVU Tech athletics has been successful and the Golden Bears will look to continue that momentum Saturday with five events. Wrestling will start the day off by participating in the West Virginia Collegiate Invitational and hope to grab their third championship in as many weekends. Women's basketball and swimming compete at the University of the Cumberlands while men's basketball will play host to Virginia University of Lynchburg.

- In their last match-up vs. University of Pikeville, Nolan led with 22 points, Wimberly recorded 14 off the bench and senior Noelani Woodson had 11 points.

- WVU Tech men's swim team defeated Lindsey Wilson College 190-70.
- Tech women fell 133-99 vs. Lindsey Wilson.
- Freshman Quentin Cooper won the 1000 Free (10:11.05), the 50 Free (22.31) and placed fourth in the 100 Free (50.69).
- Junior Rubhi Garcia-Mercado was named Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for her efforts:
- Touched first in the 100 Freestyle (1:01.71).
- Was a part of the 400 Freestyle Relay team that finished first (4:02.58).
- Finished second as a part of the 200 Medley Relay (1:59.09).
- Finished third in the 100 Breaststroke (1:22.86).
