  • Junior Elizabeth Evans released a shot at the buzzer that fell to give WVU Tech a 61-59 victory the Cumberlands.
  • Evans scored 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field in addition to two rebounds and a steal.
  • Senior Courtney Fisher led the offense with 17 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
  • Fisher also posted four steals and an assist.
  • Freshmen Alexandra Combs had a career-high 13 points.
  • Savannah Shamblin had 12 points.
  • Shamblin, who also dealt out a team-best six assists, pulled down seven boards while Combs had four steals and three rebounds.
  • Shamblin has posted double-figures in seven out of nine contests and is currently No. 13 (NAIA DII) averaging 4.375 assists per game.
  • Freshman Breanna Propst pulled down five rebounds for WVU Tech.
  • As a team, Tech shot 39.3 percent (24-for-61) from the field and 47.4 percent (9-for-19) from the free throw line.
  • The Golden Bears held a 40-35 edge in rebounds while forcing 24 turnovers that was credited towards 16 of their points.

  • Sophomore Tristan Bean finished fourth at 125 to lead WVU Tech wrestling to a tenth-place finish at the Messiah Petrofes Tournament.
  • Finished with 31.0 points as a team while Messiah College won with 186.5 points followed by second place Stevens Institute with 133.0 points.
  • Bean opened the tournament with a bye before defeating Nathan Frantz of McDaniel by fall and Chris Tan of Ursinus with a 7-6 decision.
    • Lucas Malmerg (Messiah), eventual 125 winner, recorded the fall (6:03) in the quarterfinals.
    • The Trenton, Ohio native then won by decision 13-7 over Dylan Nuttal (Bridgewater State) to reach the third-place match where he was defeated due to injury (1:20).
  • Junior Bryan Overton (165) produced 5.5 team points with three wins during the tournament.
    • two by major decision (10-0 and 11-3)
    • one by scoring a fall at 3:40 when he faced Logan Laughlin of Muhlenberg.
  • Fellow classmate Terry Nance II scored a fall at 3:49 over Bridgewater State's Chinaka Ekechikwu before falling by an 8-4 decision to Messiah's Nick Havener.
  • Freshman Noah Julian (285) and sophomore Jephte Jonpaul (197) recorded a fall in their weight classes.
  • Jjunior Paul Gonzalez (133) marked a win by decision, 6-2.

  • Led by sophomore Ryan Atkins who came off the bench to produce 17 points.
  • Atkins had a career-high 13 rebounds for his first double-double effort as a Golden Bear.
  • Senior Eddie Gordon posted 13 points including a perfect 7-for-7 performance from the free throw line to go with five rebounds.
  • Junior Matthew Kallead and senior Ra'Shaud Kincaid had ten points each.
  • Kallead marked a career- and game-high four steals while pulling down four boards.
  • Kincaid grabbed five rebounds and dished a game-high four assists.
  • Junior Patrick Gnagbo pulled down nine rebounds while marking six points.
  • Tech held the Shock to 33.3 percent (23-for-72) shooting from the field while shooting 35.3 percent (24-for-63) themselves.
  • The Golden Bears led for 37 minutes of the game, holding advantages in rebounds (50-48), points off turnovers (12-10) and bench points (31-20).
