Box Score CONCORD, North Carolina - WVU Tech men's basketball dropped a Wednesday night competition to Barber Scotia College, 86-73 in Concord, North Carolina. The Golden Bears fall to 19-8 on the season while Barber Scotia improves to 5-21.
Tech was led by senior
Jauries Thomas who finished with 21 points. Fellow classmates,
Sharife Sergeant (12 points),
Leon Cooper, Jr. (10 points) and
Jaren Marino (10 points) round out the top offensive contributors for the team.
The Gold and Blue trailed 41-34 at the half and cut the lead to within two points in the second half before their opponent was able to pull away for the 13-point victory.
Ryan Atkins paced BSC with 41 points. Tech defeated Barber Scotia November 21, 116-61 during the Baisi Classic in Montgomery, West Virginia.
The Golden Bears will look to get back to their winning ways when they travel to the Virginia University of Lynchburg next Tuesday, February 24.
