?MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - This weekend WVU Tech softball begins their 2015 campaign in South Carolina while men's and women's basketball celebrate seniors on Sunday in the Baisi Athletic Center for their last regular season games. Baseball is also on the road to face the University of Pikeville and the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) in Savannah, Georgia.

- Tech registered seven hits from five Golden Bears in the 1-0 win over St. Andrews including two each from juniors Dylan Harvey and Carlos Diaz.
- Junior Tommy Weaver, sophomore Trevor Lam and freshman Ian Southcott each posted a hit.
- I. Southcott was 1-for-2 at the plate with a sacrifice hit, recording his first collegiate hit.
- Senior Cesar Chavez (1-0) pitched 2.1 innings, giving up just two hits on one strikeout for the win.
- Sophomore Austin Southcott drew the start on the mound, striking out two in 4.0 innings of work.
- Harvey and junior Hugo Rodriguez led the Golden Bears with two hits a piece in the 2-1 loss to the Knights.
- Lam and I. Southcott also recorded a hit.
- Senior Josh Smetana (0-2) was charged with the loss on the mound.
- Smetana struck out four Knights while giving up four hits and two earned runs.

LAST SEASON - Tech finished 10-23 on a two-game win streak.
- Enjoyed a three-game win streak on the road mid-April with two wins over Bluefield State College and one over Salem International University.

QUICK STATS and NOTES- Tech is 4-1 in their last five games.
- The Golden Bears defeated the Hawks earlier this season (December 12), 96-56 during the Joe Manchin Classic.
- The team fell to Barber Scotia February 18 on the road, 86-73.
- Tech was led by senior Jauries Thomas who finished with 21 points.
- Fellow classmates, Sharife Sergeant (12 points), Leon Cooper, Jr. (10 points) and Jaren Marino (10 points) round out the top offensive contributors for the loss.

QUICK STATS and NOTESÂ - The Gold and Blue are on a four-game win streak, defeating Allen University in their last match-up, 82-73.
- Senior Nia Nolan led the scoring efforts for Tech with 21 points.
- Junior Cheyanne Lusk nine points and 11 rebounds.
- As a team, the Golden Bears went 25-for-69 (36.2 percent) from the field while shooting 27-for-36 (75.0 percent) from the bonus.
- Tech has six top-ten team rankings in the NAIA DI:
