LAST GAME- Came out on top of a KIAC contest that featured six lead changes and six tied scores by defeating Alice Lloyd College 67-62 in the Baisi Athletic Center Saturday afternoon.
- Tech was led by the play of senior Courtney Fisher who accumulated 18 points and nine rebounds.
- Fisher scored her points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and a 6-for-12 effort from the foul line.
- Freshman Alexandra Combs also scored in double figures for the Golden Bears, notching 15 points to go with a game-high three steals.
- Combs pulled down three rebounds while dishing two assists in 35 minutes of play.
- Senior LaKisha Adkins and freshman Savannah Shamblin contributed nine points each.
- Shamblin pulled down six boards while passing out a game-high nine assists.
- Adkins finished with five rebounds and assists and a block and steal in the win.
- Freshman Breanna Propst added seven points, two rebounds, assists and blocks and a steal for the Golden Bears in 18 minutes of play.
- The team forced 18 turnovers, posting 19 points on the Eagles' miscues.
- Tech held advantages in points in the paint (30-18), points off turnovers (19-10) and fast break points (6-4).

LAST MEET- Defeated the Fighting Scots, 31-13 to boost their dual record to 4-12. Tech fell to OVU earlier this season (November 12), 27-15.
- Tech took a quick 18-0 lead due to forfeit wins in the 125, 133 and 141 weight classes.
- Senior Conrad Lacey (157) picked up points for Tech with a 7-2 decision over Ohio Valley's Sam Phillips.
- At 165, sophomore Corey Palmer won by decision over the Fighting Scots, 7-3.
- Junior Colton Rowe wrestled at 174 and grabbed the victory, 8-3 over Austin Anstill.
- Junior Terry Nance II scored a major decision (9-0) at 197 over his opponent, Tyler Koreski.
2015 | USCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT- Carried to the USCAA National Wrestling Invitational Championship with six individual Golden Bear champions.
- The Gold and Blue were led by freshmen TJ Bean (125) and Curtis Cox (133), sophomores Robert McNeil (141), Terry Nance (197) and Wyatt Norfolk (235) and junior Conrad Lacey (157).
- Tech finished with 157.5 team points to come out on top in a championship that saw individuals from 11 different schools, five USCAA members and six teams from the PSUAC and 101 wrestlers.
- The team benefited from five other top-five finishers in sophomore Bryan Overton (third at 174), freshman Andrew Reininger (third at 285) and sophomores Paul Gonzales (fourth at 133), Denis Robles-Gomez (fifth at 125) and Alfred Martinez (fifth at 133).
- Every wrestler entered in the tournament by Tech came away with at least one victory.
- Robles-Gomez earned a fall in his last match of the day, Martinez had a pair of falls, Overton wrestled six times, going 5-1 on the day, sophomore Giovane Lins also scored a fall at 174 for the team in the wrestle-backs and Reininger finished 3-1 Sunday.

- Sophomore Ryan Atkins led all scorers with 33 points and just missed a triple-double with 15 rebounds and eight assists as the WVU Tech defense held Alice Lloyd College to 34.4 percent (22-for-64) from the field.
- The Golden Bears (15-10, 7-5 KIAC) cruised to a 75-55 win over the Eagles (12-10, 8-4 KIAC) in conference play Saturday afternoon.
- Tech used a solid defensive effort to jump out to a 27-22 lead at the break as the Golden Bears forced Alice Lloyd to commit nine turnovers in the first half while limiting the Eagles to just 29.6 percent (8-for-27) from the field.
- Three WVU Tech players scored in double figures in the win, led by Atkins, who was 13-for-18 from the field while going 7-for-11 from the foul line in the victory.
- Senior Eddie Gordon had 11 points while junior Paul Stone added ten points.
- Junior Hunter Moles pulled down the team's second-best eight rebounds while pouring in four points to go with three assists and a team-high three blocks.

LAST MEET (Men's)- Defeated the Bulldogs of Union College 217-180 Saturday afternoon to finish their regular season with a record of 6-1 in duals.
- The A Medley Relay of freshmen Arthur Bertrand and Vinicius Rios, senior Jack Cavanagh and sophomore Kenneth Edmondson and the B relay of freshmen Takoda Grove and George Sheldon and sophomores Michael Grauwde and Christopher Alpeter took second and third place. The A relay clocked a time of 3:40.98 while the B relay finished at 4:05.36.
- Sophomore Quentin Cooper took top honors in the 1650 Free with a 17:42.88 and finishing third was Grove in a time of 18:30.83.
- Winning the 200 Free was sophomore Manuel Serrano Laguna, touching at 1:49.16.
- Taking the two top spots in the 50 Free were freshman Kohen Kerr (22.09) followed by sophomore Jesus Ballesteros (22.25).
- Rios placed first in the 200 Butterfly in 2:09.19 and touching first in the 100 Free, Ballesteros finished in 48.16. The 200 Backstroke also featured a top finish for Tech in Bertrand who touched after 1:59.13.
LAST MEET (Women's)- Grabbed a 95-76 victory over Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky.
- The Golden Bears finish 4-3 in duals this season, enjoying a three-meet win streak. On November 7, 2015, the squad made history, notching the first dual victory in the program.
- The team of junior Francine Meyer, senior Shannon Wiercioch, freshman Isabela Kiesewetter Zandavalli and sophomore Kendra Monnin clocked a time of 3:57.58 winning the 400 Free Relay.
- The 400 Medley Relay started off the meet with the team of Zandavalli, freshman Mariana Loureiro, junior Janay Wright-Parks and senior Rubhi Garcia-Mercado finishing second in a time of 4:28.65.
- Winning the 1650 Freestyle was Monnin, finishing after 19:06.51 and touching almost a minute before the next opponent.
- The sophomore also posted a first place finish in the 100 Breaststroke (1:10.02).
- The 50 Free featured Meyer swimming a 25.67 for a first place finish.
- The São Roque, Brazil native also captured the top spot in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:24.58.
- Finishing first in the 100 Free was Loureiro (58.40) followed by Garcia-Mercado (1:02.43).
- Grabbing first in the 200 Backstroke was Zandavalli (2:15.80).
2015 | ASC CHAMPIONSHIPS- WVU Tech men's swimming trailed former champions Wheeling Jesuit University and St. Andrews University after day two of the ASC Championships with a score of 297 compared to 310 and 304 points respectively.
- But, the Golden Bears were able to dominate in the pool on the final day to earn Tech's first ever ASC Championship with a team score of 427.
- 200 Freestyle Relay touched 3rd with freshmen Alexandre Quintao, Quentin Cooper and Jesus Ballesteros and sophomore Matheus Montarroyos.
- 500 Freestyle, 2nd place Montarroyos (4:40.32) and 3rd place, Cooper (4:40.45).
- Women 200 IM, 2nd place freshman Kendra Monnin (2:09.84) and 3rd place sophomore Francine Meyers (2:11.48).
- Men 200 IM, 5th place freshman Manuel Serrano Laguna (1:54.49).
- Men 50 Freesyle, 7th place Quintao (21.49).
- 200 Medley Relay finished 7th with sophomore Jack Cavanagh, Cooper, freshman Geoffroy Gauneau and Laguna.
- 400 IM, Cavanagh touched 4th.
- 100 Fly Gauneau placed 4th.
- 200 Freestyle, Montarroyos placed 2nd, Quintao placed 3rd, Cooper placed 4th and Ballesteros placed 5th.
- Laguna finished 5th on the 100 breast.
- 100 Freesyle, Quintao, 4th, 47.03 and Peral, 5th, 47.22.
- 200 Breaststroke, Laguna 2nd, 2:04.55 and Cavanagh touched 3rd with a time of 2:05.40.
- 200 butterfly, Gauneau, 3rd, 1:53.69 and sophomore Jaime Arevalo, 7th, 1:57.61.
- 400 Freestyle Relay, 4th, Quintao, Ballesteros, Cooper and MoNtarroyos.
- 100 Freestyle, Arevalo touched 1st with a time of 50.38.
- 50 Freestyle freshman Lucas Malvar placed 1st (22.26).
KIAC PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
KIAC newcomer WVU Tech was picked fourth by the coaches. The Golden Bears were 30-25 overall last year and made to the final four teams of the Association of Independent Institutions Tournament.
