RIVER STATES CONFERENCE (RSC) PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
- Picked sixth in the RSC 2016-17 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- The Golden Bears received 54 points and one first-place vote.
- Brescia University is predicted to repeat as conference champions with six of the 11 first-place votes and a conference-high 84 points in the voting conducted by the league's 11 men's golf head coaches.
- Last season, Tech finished eighth at the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Golf Tournament with a 54-hole team score of 974, 59 strokes behind team champion Brescia University.
NAIA COACHES' PRESEASON TOP 25 POLL
- WVU Tech, who was ranked No. 2 in the RSC Preseason Poll last week, received votes in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll.
- WVU Tech, who had a record of 16-3, 5-1 (KIAC) last season, spent several weeks ranked in the NAIA Top 25 Poll at the end of last year.
- The team finished the season with six top-five rankings in NAIA DI play including No. 1 in shots on goal per game (13.440), No. 3 in shots per game (23.060), No. 4 in assists per game (3.330) and No. 5 in goals per game (4.220), total assists (60) and total goals (76).
- Top returners for the Gold and Blue include seniors Prince Idornigie, Drew Lytton and Hunter Moles and junior Francisco Neto.
- Idornigie has posted 11 assists and ten goals for Tech during his career.
- Lytton, a captain last season, played in 18 of 19 games in 2015 to help lead the defense while also producing five goals and an assist.
- Moles only allowed nine goals last season while ending with a save percentage of .780 and a record of 9-2.
- Neto finished 2015 with 20 goals and four assists while holding six top 30 rankings in the nation including No. 7 in goals per game with 1.110.

LAST MATCH
- dropped a 3-2 decision (27-25, 23-25, 25-23, 16-25, 9-15) Tuesday to the University of Pikeville (1-0) in the Baisi Athletic Center.
- For the match, senior Michala Dean and junior Bailey Lotozo led the team on offense with 11 kills each while senior Keyonna Morrow rounded out the top three with nine kills.
- Dean also marked 15 digs, three assists, a block solo and a block assist.
- Lotozo had 13 digs to go with a service ace, a block solo and block assist.
- Freshman Konstantina Pateli managed 29 assists while marking seven kills, 13 digs and serving up two aces.
- Freshman Riley Bocan brought her season total to five block solos with two against the Bears while also marking a block assist.
- Freshman Carolina Bologna produced six kills, a block solo and a block assist for the Gold and Blue.
