RSC PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
- Splitting votes in the overall ballot and within the RSC East Division were University Rio Grande (Ohio) (19-12) and WVU Tech (18-12), which tied for fifth in the overall ballot and second in the division.
- WVU Tech earned one first-place vote in the overall ballot and two to win the division.
LAST GAME
- Dropped a 99-81 decision at NCAA DI Marshall University during an exhibition contest Sunday afternoon.
- Senior Elisha Boone led the way for the Gold and Blue and Marshall, finishing with a double-double effort of 27 points and 12 rebounds.
- Junior Thomas Collins, sophomore Junior Arrey and senior Michael Scott also finished with double digits, producing 15, 12 and ten points respectively.
- Arrey also pulled down five boards while Collins and Scott had four rebounds each.
- Collins led the game with four steals while Boone had three towards Tech's 11 total.
- Arrey dished five assists and Boone had three for WVU Tech.
- As a team, Tech finished 31-for-74 (41.9 percent) from the field while grabbing 46 rebounds.
- The Thundering Herd went 31-for-65 (47.7 percent) and had 44 rebounds.
- The Golden Bears held the advantage over Marshall in points off turnovers (21-19), second chance points (19-8), points in the paint (52-20) and fast break points (8-2).

LAST MEETING WITH POINT PARK (October 20)
- Staged a second half comeback to come home with a River States Conference (RSC) victory over Point Park, 3-2.
- Point Park grabbed a quick 2-0 lead after Alan Ramos (3' and 10') scored the Pioneers' only goals of the contest.
- Tech's first half goal came from sophomore Jesus Naves who was assisted by fellow classmate Manuel Garcia in the 29th minute.
- Garcia also posted a goal (53'), his third this season, after connecting with junior Matias Pazos.
- The Gold and Blue's final score came from freshman defender Cameron Glennon.
- The unassisted goal marks Glennon's first collegiate.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jorge Martinez earned the win protecting goal after two saves and 90 minutes.
- Point Park's keeper, Ryan Daniels, was forced to make 11 saves and allowed three goals.
- As a team, the Golden Bears marked 14 shots on goal compared to their opponents' four.
- Pazos and senior Francisco Neto led the way for Tech with three shots on frame each.
