- Junior Savannah Shamblin recorded her 1,000th career point and WVU Tech earned an 81-74 victory over University of the Cumberlands.
- The Golden Bears boost their record to 7-6 while the Patriots move to 7-2.
- Shamblin led all shooters with 28 points including three from beyond the arc.
- The Cross Lanes, West Virginia native now has 1,003 career points and is ranked (as of December 6) No. 35 in the nation (NAIA DII) with 30 three-pointers made.
- Shamblin went 7-for-10 from the foul line and dished a team-high four assists.
- Freshman Brittney Justice and sophomore Carlie Biehl-Wilson also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue, posting 14 and 11 points respectively.
- Justice finished with three assists and three rebounds while Biehl-Wilson pulled down eight boards and had two blocks.
- Sophomore Katelyn Byrd recorded a team-best ten rebounds to go with five points.
- Sophomores Laura Requena and Logan Dudley poured in six points each while Dudley had six rebounds and Requena marked four.
- As a team, Tech finished 25-for-64 (39.1 percent) from the floor while the Patriots went 29-for-62 (46.8 percent).
- The Golden Bears outrebounded the Patriots, 45-26, and forced 16 opponent turnovers while grabbing seven steals.

- WVU Tech used hot shooting and a big rebounding edge to beat Point Park University, 98-79, at CCAC-Allegheny's Physical Education Building.
- WVU Tech (7-3, 2-0 RSC) made an amazing 11 3-pointers in the first half to stake out to a 53-40 lead after 20 minutes.
- The Golden Bears were shooting 61 percent (11 for 18) from 3-point range and 56 percent overall at the half.
- Andreas Jönsson was the main marksman putting up 20 of his 22 points in the first half and drilling six treys before the break.
- Michael Scott had a huge game for WVU Tech with 20 points and 23 rebounds.
- The 6-8 forward led the Golden Bears to their 51-30 advantage on the boards.
- He ignited the 20-6 run with a 3-pointer, one of his four treys in the game.
- Tamon Scruggs made three treys during the spurt and four on the day on his way to 20 points.
- WVU Tech shot 53 percent for the game compared to 41 percent for Point Park.
