- Fell 2-0 at Point Park University in River States Conference (RSC) play.
- The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-4, 1-2 (RSC) while the Pioneers move to 7-4, 4-0 (RSC).
- As a team, Tech recorded 11 shots, six on frame including two each from sophomores Veronica Nobles and Meghan Rugel.
- Point Park's second half goals were scored by Nikki Polens (58') and Tia Horew (67').
- Freshman Jenna Miller protected the net for a complete game in the loss, stopping four Pioneer attempts.
- Point Park's keeper, Ashtyn Webb, made six Golden Bear stops in the victory.

LAST GAME
- Remains unbeaten in 12 games and has been "receiving votes" in the NAIA Top 25 all year found themselves with another tie as they ended 1-1 after double overtime at Point Park University (5-4-1, 1-2-1 RSC).
- Tech had control of the shots with a 27-7 advantage in that department.
- Point Park had just one shot on goal, which was posted by Marc Bentley (80').
- It was just the sixth goal of the year given up by WVU Tech.
- The Gold and Blue put 11 shots on goal, but the only one that went in was from junior Jesus Naves.
- That came fairly early in the 11th minute and off the assist from fellow classmate Sergio Sanchez.
- Junior Jose Domingo Xam-mar protected the net for the full 110 minutes, allowing just one goal.
- Point Park's Juan Somoza also was the keeper the entire game and was forced to make ten Golden Bear attempts.

LAST MEET
- Had a standout showing during the Greater Louisville Classic in Kentucky with personal-bests for each Golden Bear.
- The men finished 20th out of 45 squads while the women ended 22nd of 43 teams.
- Led by junior Dan Nehnevaj's ninth place finish in 25:11.2, the men's team knocked off seven NAIA schools that received votes in last week's national poll, including three of the top 30.
- All Golden Bear scorers ran all-time personal best times in the nationally competitive blue division race, also knocking off the top ranked River States Conference (RSC) team opponent Point Park University.
- Following Nehnevaj across the line were freshman Aidan Hearne (26:32), sophomore Michael Ecker-Randolph (26:42), freshman Brandon Hudson (26:44), freshman Seth Bierbrauer (21:14), freshman Nathan Morton (27:45), sophomore Alex Lee (27:36), freshman Nicholas Lee (27:52), sophomore Marcus Vital (28:26) and sophomore Steven Smith (29:22).
- On the Women's side, the Golden Bear competed in the silver race, led by freshman Kara Sandusky in a personal-best time of 20:36.6, followed by sophomore Jaelynn Parks (20:56), freshman Alisa Kuchmak (21:48), sophomore Kaeley Boyd (21:54) and sophomore Hannah Pride (22:25).

LAST TIME ON THE COURT
- Took a 3-1 River States Conference (RSC) decision over Ohio Christian University Saturday afternoon with scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-15.
- The Golden Bears boost their record to 19-5, 3-2 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 2-9, 1-3 (RSC).
- The team had a standout showing from senior Ana Monteiro who recorded 15 kills, 11 digs, two assists, two service aces and a block assists.
- Freshman Valentina Abondano also had a balanced match on offense and defense with 16 digs and 11 kills.
- Junior Katelyn Byrd was the final Golden Bear to post double-digits on the attack with ten kills to go with nine digs.
- Once again, junior Konstantina Pateli handled the ball for Tech towards 39 assists.
- The Athens, Greece native also picked up ten digs.
- The Gold and Blue back row defense helped win the contest including a match-best 26 digs from sophomore libero Sawyer Hawgood.
- Junior Alice Amitrano marked 17 digs while fellow classmate Carolina Bologna posted seven digs.
- Bologna also put down six kills.
