CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The WVU Tech men's cross country squad finished 22
nd in the nation during the NAIA National Championship Friday. The event took place at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids. Overall, Tech ran a combined 8-kilometer time of 2:10:18 (an average of 26:04 per runner), the fastest by two minutes this season.
Junior
Dan Nehnevaj crossed the line at 25:15 to finish 36
th among a field of 330 competitors. The Vancouver, Washington native was competing in the race for the first time.
Freshman
Brandon Hudson finished second for the Gold and Blue, running the 8k course in a time of 25:49. Fellow freshman
Nick Lee crossed next for Tech with a time of 26:24.
Finishing out the top five for WVU Tech included freshman Nathan Morton (26:24) and sophomore Michael Ecker-Randolph (26:29).
Also competing for the Golden Bears were freshmen Zachary Longwell (27:21) and Aidan Hearne (27:51).
