- Secured its fifth victory in 2018 after defeating Shawnee State University 5-1 Saturday afternoon in Beckley, West Virginia.
- Tech saw five Golden Bears score including juniors Eduardo Gutierrez, Manuel Garcia and Freddy Robayo, sophomore Pablo Muniz Rocandio and freshman Jaime Rodriguez.
- The goal from Rocandio was his first collegiate score while Robayo's was his first as a Golden Bear.
- The assists were credited to sophomore Renan Gouvia and seniors Sergio Sanchez (2) and William Adarkwah.
- Junior keeper Jose Domingo Xam-mar (5-0-1) stopped one Shawnee State attempt and allowed just one goal in 90 minutes of play.
- The Gold and Blue recorded 19 shots on frame compared to the Bears' two shots on goal.
- Tech also held the advantage in corner kicks, 8-2.

LAST TIME ON THE COURT
- WVU Tech is now enjoying a five-match winning streak after finishing 4-0 at the Concord Classic.
- The Golden Bears, who now hold a record of 11-3, defeated Lees-McRae College (3-1) and opponent Concord University (3-2) the final day of the tournament in Athens, West Virginia.
- Juniors Carolina Bologna and Konstantina Pateli were named to the Concord Classic All-Tournament team.
- Bologna had 46 kills, 11 digs, five block solos and six block assists while Pateli recorded 156 assists, 13 kills and 28 digs.

- The WVU Tech men's squad finished fifth out of seven teams during the Golden Bear Classic.
- A team-best finish from junior Dan Nehnevaj who crossed the line at 13:05.4 was recorded for the men.
- The women, who took sixth place, were led by sophomore Jaelynn Parks who finished with a time of 16:37.7 towards 11th place.
